What is ZOONO?
A publicly listed company on the Australian ASX, Zoono Group NZ was established in 2008 with the sole motive of offering advanced antimicrobial protection to consumers through a variety of products manufactured in New Zealand. Zoono’s technology stems from research and application conducted by the US Navy aboard nuclear submarines as an effort to provide reliable protection against infections over extended periods of time. Up to the 1990’s, this cutting-edge technology was held as a military secret.
A sanitizer that.. lasts longer?
The active Zoono molecule is a Silicon based Quaternary Ammonium Compound, an antimicrobial found in other common items like toothpaste and cosmetics. Once the water based solution that contains these molecules is misted and dry, it forms covalent bonds with all the treated surfaces in the area. This is followed by a polymerization of its molecules into a continuous monolayer that resembles an all enveloping film of microscopic spikes that are only atomic lengths apart.
These spikes physically pierce and eliminate the most harsh disease and problem causing Virus, Bacteria, Fungus and Mold. All while being completely non-toxic, non-flammable and non-invasive to the precious spaces you want protected.
The layer of spikes continues to work for a period of 30 days after which it gradually degrades below the 99.99% efficacy mark.

Has Zoono been tested?
The question of the hour, does residual antimicrobial technology really work? Over a decade of R&D has resulted in apt and rigorous testing by both Zoono Group and Independently by Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) certified labs in the USA, UK, Germany, Japan, India, Australia, China, Turkey and New Zealand.
The most recent verification was achieved by testing conducted by GTECH Strategies and an independent UKAS accredited test lab. In this review, 72 Hotspots were tested across 23 U.K. rail passenger trains. The areas were treated with the Zoono Z71 Microbe Shield between 8 to 30 days before the testing was scheduled. The testing resulted in no detection of the COVID-19 virus and E-Coli Bacteria on the highly touched surfaces on the trains.
